Training Options

Unity Enterprise in partnership with the Scottish Enterprise Ayrshire Get Ready for Work programme and the New Deal programme provides training opportunities for young people aged 16-24. These young people have often experienced barriers to employment such as a lack of self confidence, motivation, or qualifications. With support from the New Futures fund we also support young people with learning difficulties to make the transition from school to employment.

Unity Enterprise supports young people to enable them to overcome these barriers and move into employment, further education, or college.

Training is provided in employability areas including:-

• Interview Technique
• I.T. Skills
• Practical Skills
• Personal Development

Trainees are also given the opportunity to undertake work placements across a variety of industries including joinery, mechanical, retail or hairdressing. This helps young people focus on what they want to do, learn new skills and give them the self confidence to move into work either directly or via training or further education.
