Employability Programme

Unity Works provides tailored employment support for adults and young people across the West of Scotland experiencing barriers towards progression, and who are looking to find suitable training, education, voluntary work or paid employment.

Participants are supported to gain recognised qualifications relevant to their own goals and abilities, to develop vocational skills, and to take clear steps towards suitable and sustainable positive outcomes.

Unity ensures that all participants receive person-centred training and are supported to progress in an effective and efficient manner.

I belong… at work

“I have been at Spoon for almost 2 years and in that time I have learned lots of new skills.  I help to prepare fillings for the deli, I like to make soup, cakes and other things and I know how to stock up the fridge!

I have also learned about Health & Safety and Food Hygiene, I can do lots on the computer and I have achieved my ASDAN Award on Work Awareness.  I really enjoy my time here and I have met lots of new friends.”
