By volunteering with Unity, you can change the lives of the people using our services, and who knows, they might even change yours!

We have a number of current staff who started out as volunteers for Unity and now work full time, in our carers centres, Spoon Cafes and Central Office.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to learn new skills, new experiences, meet new people as well as putting something back into your community. With projects across the West of Scotland there are opportunities from befriending carers to fundraising, gardening, cooking and arts & crafts

“My name is Val McGowan. I have been a volunteer with Unity Enterprise for the last year. I have a son with cerebral palsy, and now he has grown up I have time on my hands and I was interested in this kind of voluntary work.

Since coming to Unity I have learned so much, and met so many fabulous people, with the support and training I received it helped me build my confidence and helped me find a job doing the same kind of work. I enjoy this kind of work and know it will bring more training and development.

I look forward to continue volunteering for Unity Enterprise.”
